On The Writers Block
It is a block party for writers of communication studies. So bring your favorite drink and review the blog notes on communication and together we can learn from each other about what it means to communicate effectively. Speaking clearly so that others can understand you is just the tip of the iceberg to communicating. There are many deeper aspects to take into consideration. From tone of voice and reading body language and expression, to actively listening and special attention to the little things like someones culture, social ties or the possibility of a disability. Perhaps a lesson can be taken from the animal world. Animals may not necessarily speak in words, but they definitely have a way of communicating to us and their fellow herd, pack or what ever the case may be. Communication is a basic activity that takes place from the moment we wake up, to the moment we go to sleep. Without the ability to communicate or someone to talk to, life would be a dismal place.
